Thanks for A Great Season!

I just wanted to say thanks to all the players, parents, and friends that helped make this season a success. I think all the boys learned some stuff and made some improvements in their games and, most of all, had a great time. This was the first year that we have participated in the Fall Ball league and we did pretty well. We beat some tough teams and played well in most of the games we lost. This will be my only year coaching this as Johnny moves up next year, so anyone interested in taking over please speak to Glenn or the baseball coordinator next year there is any interest. I especially want to thank Glenn, John Hansen, My pop, Joe Bronco, and Juan Carlos Belmonte for helping me coach. Thanks to Susan Zennario for all her help with the emails and pictures, I would not have been able to do this site without you. Hopefully I will see all of you at basketball and next spring for Rec League! Thanks Again!

Worst Win Ever!

In a horrible display of defense, we managed to give up an 8 run lead and come back to win against
Stafford 14-12 in extra innings. Great job coming back from behind and winning. Juan Carlos got the save and just about everyone hit the ball. Lets try and concentrate on the last game!

Directions to Stafford Game

Tuesday's game is away at Stafford. Stafford's fields are on Doc Cramer Blvd. in Manahawkin (Exit 63 on the Parkway). For those who are interested, we will have a caravan leaving Pitney fields at 5:00pm.

Great Comeback Win!

In a thrilling comeback win, we beat Galloway 5-4. Jon Bronco had both of our hits including the game winner. Great pitching and fielding again helped us stay in the game. Bobby Hudak's 2 out bunt and Juan Carlos's slide to knock the ball out of the catchers glove set up the winning run to score. All the coaches are really proud of the way you guys didn't give up. Next game is Saturday-please be at the field at 12 noon.

Game Reminders

Just a reminder that there is a game this Thursday, 10/16, at home. Please be at the fields no later than 5:30pm.

Also, this has not been firmed up yet, but would anyone have a problem with Saturday's game against Upper Twp. (at home) starting at 11am instead of 12pm? Please let me know as soon as possible (432-7931 or reply to this email) if this is going to be a problem as I am trying to finalize things with the other coach. Thanks!

Upper Twp Game Is Now At Home!

Our game on Saturday the 18th is now at home. Please be at the field at 12 Noon. We will get started as soon as the 10U game is over.

Mays Landing Recap

We suffered a bad loss today against Mays Landing 12-6. We need to concentrate a little better in the field. We did look pretty good at the plate and on the bases. Our pitching was once again good today. I know we will bounce back against Galloway this week!

Mays Landing Field Location

I spoke with the Mays Landing Coach yesterday and he informed me that we will be playing our game at the Special Services School off of Babcock Road. To get to the field take RT 40 to Babcock Road and make a left. Continue down Babcock approx 1 mile and you will see a sign on the Right for the Atlantic County Special Services School. This road is directly across from the Hess School. When you make the right, follow it behind the school and you will see the field. If anyone has any questions or needs a ride please call me at 432 7931. We need to be at the field at 12 Noon!

Three In A Row!

We beat Galloway 1 tonight 8-3 with another strong effort by everyone. Matt Z got the game ball with his exceptional play in the field and all around hustle on the bases. Nick Hansen, Johnny Couchoud, and Mike McManus all had key hits tonight. Once again stellar pitching from Bobby, Alex, and Matt M. All around good play in the field with only a few little lapses. This is a real fun team to coach and be around!

Somers Point Recap

We won our second straight game 8-1 over Somers Point. Game ball went to Matt Marczyk for his 3 shutout innings from the mound and all around hustle behind the plate and on the bases. Everyone did an excellent job today. Alex Sikora had a clutch 2 run single late in the game to help seal the deal. Juan Carlos is hot and had two more hits today. Nick Keller also had a great hit late in the game. Overall it was a really well played game!

WE WIN! EHT Recap

We got our first win tonight over EHT #4 10-2. Everyone contributed tonight. Bobby, Alex, Matt, and Nick all pitched great. Jack had a great night at the plate with 3 hits. Juan Carlos had a nice double. The play of the game was a great running and diving catch by Nick Hansen in Left Field to kill a rally. Looks like our bats have woken up, everyone should look out!
